Lower River Road Generating Plant Reheat and High-Pressure Attemperators

This project replaced portions of the heat recovery steam generator at the River Road generating facility. Specific items that were replaced were the super heater spray headers, reheat spray header, attemperator spray system, and various instruments.

The reheat spray header was R-Stamp work that was conducted in the field with complex weld procedures developed during preconstruction. Access to the work was challenging due to where the portions of the systems were located within the unit. Low head-room conditions required detailed planning during preconstruction to ensure our hoisting plan was as efficient as possible to meet the outage time line. The project went smoothly with high client satisfaction, which has led to more work with CPUD at this facility.
