Upper Baker Unit 2 Cooling Water Piping

For this project, we replaced four-inch and six-inch Schedule 10 304 stainless steel cooling water supply and return piping and valves including demolition of the existing radiused piping and prefabrication and installation of new piping and valves.

With limited access to the radiused piping, we performed 3D scanning of the existing piping to model the project and match the radius. We then converted the model to spool fabrication drawings to ensure an exact fit and minimize field fit-up issues. Our fabrication tolerance for all pipe spools was approximately 1/16 of an inch to properly tie into the existing connection points.
